Meet the Preppy Pelican
We a brand new boutique was planning a store opening, they called us to create the logo for it. They had a specific set of requirements, the brand had to resonate with it’s core demographic: 18-36 year olds with ample amounts of disposable income. This clothing retailer wanted a brand that would also reflect tone of the fashion labels it carried. We created this logo mark, mascot, and color palette for the retailer. We sought to make a brand that was preppy (true to the clothes they sell), youthful, cheerful, and upscale. We decided to create a mascot that would serve as a shorthand emblem for the store, being Louisiana, the Preppy Pelican made perfect sense.
